Pioneers of Sustainable Practices
Excool began in 2008, the same year ASHRAE revised temperature guidelines for data center servers. Shortly after, regulators introduced stricter monitoring and maintenance standards across the industry. While many manufacturers fell behind, Excool had already started developing energy-efficient cooling solutions.
Even before the ASHRAE update, we focused on performance, efficiency, and future-proof designs. Our first product, an early Excool Zero model, reduced operating costs by more than 50%. This product, an early version of the Excool Zero, set a new benchmark by reducing operating costs by over 50%. This breakthrough in indirect evaporative cooling technology quickly established our name in the industry, with units rolling off the line shortly after.
To this day, the Excool Zero remains an industry leader thanks to its ultra-low water consumption and minimal power usage. In addition, its onboard water storage and treatment system are all housed within a compact unit that’s 30% smaller than competing products. As a result of this continued innovation, we’re proud to be the largest supplier of indirect evaporative cooling solutions for data centers in the world.

Enabling employee development is a core Excool value, which is why we offer apprenticeships to staff who want to retrain or upskill. Our apprenticeships are available at all different levels, starting from a GCSE equivalent, all the way up to a university degree.
