An ever growing global demand for Excool Zero has resulted in additional investment to increase manufacturing capacity.
The new Excool factory was opened in March 2020 and adds approximately 6000m2 of production space dedicated to Excool Zero.
Excool Zero is the most advanced indirect adiabatic cooling system of its kind and offers the most cost-effective solution on the market. The upward trend in demand for the product has been driven by a new operating strategy that has resulted in a seismic water usage reduction and an independently assessed overall cost saving of £1million per MW vs traditional systems. This trend shows no signs of slowing and Excool’s additional investment has more than doubled available output.
Situated in the West Midlands, the manufacturing heartland of the UK, the new factory is located on the same site as Excool’s UK headquarters and existing facility in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.
The new facility means that the product can be manufactured in the significant numbers required by the extensive multi-country rollouts of their customers and at speed to ensure rapid deployments can be achieved. The single base model approach enables Excool not only to stock the product in large numbers, it also reduces build times and therefore cost and ensures that quality control is maintained at the highest level throughout every stage of production. Testing is extensive throughout and includes several tests of the unit heat exchanger during manufacture and of the unit as a whole.
One of the first major shipments of Excool Zero destined for clients in the USA. The new facility in Greer, South Carolina holds over $4m of UL- certified stock.
