About this Policy
- Excool strictly prohibits the use of modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and child labour within our organisation and by any of our business partners, suppliers or contractors. We are committed to acting with integrity and transparency in all our dealings and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking are not taking place anywhere in our supply chains.
- This policy applies to all employees, contractors, consultants, agency workers and any other individuals or organisations working on behalf of Excool.
Responsibilities
- Senior Management is responsible for ensuring this policy is implemented and that adequate resources are made available to support its effective execution.
- Managers and Team Leaders must ensure that those reporting to them understand and comply with this policy.
- Employees must report any concerns regarding modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business or supply chains.
Risk assessment
We conduct due diligence on our suppliers. This includes:
- Risk assessments
- Reviewing our procurement process regularly
- A supplier evaluation form with new and existing suppliers
- Contractual commitments regarding compliance with anti-slavery laws
Training and awareness
- We provide appropriate training to staff involved in procurement, HR and supply chain management to help them identify signs of modern slavery and understand how to respond appropriately.
Reporting and whistleblowing
- We encourage the reporting of any concerns related to slavery or human trafficking. Reports can be made in confidence to a line manager, HR or through our whistleblowing procedure. All reports will be thoroughly investigated and appropriate action will be taken.
Breach of policy
- Any employee found to be in breach of this policy may face disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal. Suppliers or partners found in violation will have their contracts terminated.
Review and monitoring
- This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to ensure it remains effective and aligned with our legal and ethical obligations.
